LA_MOCA_AITS_1.jpg

Whilst in LA, I was fortunate enough to bro down with a friend and see this agressive, inspirational exhibit at the MOCA.

I still have a soft spot for Futura and, for me, he quietly stole the show. But here I also learned about Mode 2 and local Estevan Oriol, and saw a well-curated perspective of the evolution of an art form that -- like it or not -- as an about-to-be-36-year-old "artist" designer I couldn't ignore if I wanted to. Recommended.

My beautiful wife took me to Cape May for a mini-vacation -- we stayed at the excellent Virginia Hotel. Cape May is about 4 hours straight through Jersey at the southernmost tip. You can read some mildy interesting things about it here. Although most certainly a summer destination, there is something quietly beautiful about visiting during the middle of winter.
